#TESTEDTOUGH: INDIA

A journey to India's colors and culture

India

A trip to India, for some may serve the initiation into Hinduism or the world of yoga. For others, it's an endless path between the natural landscape and the country's culture.

With that in mind, we started our trip from New Delhi and headed quickly to the northern part of the country, to the Himalayas, with the aim of catching up with the celebration of the Tibetan New Year's eve.

We walked along the slopes, meeting the locals who were directing our route while explaining the customs of the Buddhist culture of the Losar, the official Tibetan festival of the first days of the year.

Our next stop is Varanasi. A special and blessed place for most Indians. It has been inhabited for 3000 years and the people maintain the same traditions and the same way of life until today. The buildings and temples offer a raw depiction of the reality that prevails in the area but also an opportunity to rest every tired traveler.

Our next chapter was written in the center of the famous Holi Festival, where Indians celebrate the coming of spring and the prevalence of good over evil, in a festival that is more reminiscent of a war of colors than a religious celebration.

Our goal is to walk farther each time.

that's why we are #TestedTough
